We want children and adults to be able to play safely and to enable this we have a dedicated parking area on the site. This keeps the actual camping site vehicle free (with the exception of the camper van pitches), which in turn helps prevent erosion and impact on the environment. No vehicles on the pitch at any time. Vehicles will be allowed to drive next to but not on to the pitch twice, once to pitch and once to strike camp. The parking is between 50m to 200m away from the pitches and we provide wheel barrows to assist in the ferrying of day to day goods

The entrance to Dunes is through a 14ft wide gate off a metalled road. Vehicle and pedestrian access to Dunes and the dedicated parking area is reached via a rough grassland driveway / paddock. Although quite rough and continually modified by resident rabbits and badgers, this parking area is easily reached by the average car. However during periods of wet weather we will ask and advise that you park in a signed area closer to the metalled road. Vehicle access to the actual camping area is not allowed apart from on the day of arrival and departure. Dunes at Whitesands Campsite do not accept any responsibility for motor vehicles, if customers have any concerns then they are advised to park closer to the metalled road and we will assist in the transportation of your equipment.
